NEXT Distro is currently operating full-service harm reduction mailing operations in New York, California, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nevada. Unfortunately, our Louisiana program is on temporary hiatus while funding is being secured. All Louisiana residents may apply through the ‘other states’ button until LA’s funding issues are resolved.
Our goal is to provide a national network of mail-based syringe access providers to support people who use drugs that cannot or will not access in-person resources. We’re trying to work with Health Departments in other states to support expansion, at this time individuals who reside in states not listed above may apply using the ‘other states’ button. Please read through all information carefully.
A note about New York, California, and Michigan: These states have made longstanding commitments to ending AIDS, supporting drug user health, and proactive public health interventions. We are lucky to have significant harm reduction infrastructure in each state. For that reason, please check out pre-existing harm reduction services in your area in advance of filling out an enrollment application with NEXT. In-person syringe exchange programs are excellent places to receive non-judgemental support in addition to an array of services. We believe that in-person harm reduction support is always best. If you don’t have transportation but live near an existing syringe exchange program, let us know and we will work to connect you with the program closest to you- many have delivery-based syringe access opportunities to ensure your convenience and privacy.
The supplies we provide are what one could find walking into an in-person syringe exchange program. We also provide risk reduction education, a host of online resources, as well as email, voice, or video chat support.
