About the Founder
Jamie Favaro is the Founder of NEXT (Needle EXchange Technology). Jamie began working in harm reduction at Tapestry Health (Northampton, MA) in 2001. She went on to found Washington Heights CORNER Project which began out of a backpack and grew to be one of the most reputable syringe exchange programs in the United States. Jamie later managed the Injection Drug Users Health Alliance, a coalition of the 14 syringe exchange programs based in New York City, and also worked as a strategic expansion consultant in the field of harm reduction. When not working on NEXT, Jamie is the Senior Advisor for Strategy and Special Projects at Harm Reduction Coalition.
Jamie received her BA from Wells College and MS from Columbia University.
